On Tuesday, April 19th, 2022 at the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), His Excellency Chhieng Yanara, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Secretary General of the Cambodian Rehabilitation and Development Board of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CRDB/CDC) held a courtesy meeting with Mr. Jechul Yoo, President of Korean Environmental Industry and Technology Institute (KEITI) of the Republic of Korea. The objective of the meeting was to discuss on Environmental ODA Cooperation between Cambodia and the Republic of Korea.
His Excellency warmly welcomed Mr. Jechul Yoo and expressed his appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Korea and its people for the strong cooperation and partnerships that have been contributing to the socio-economic development of Cambodia. His Excellency highlighted the impressive achievements of the RGC, under the wise and visionary leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, for the successful and effective implementation of government measures and intervention to address the COVID-19 pandemic, reopen the country, and reactivate the economic activities across all sectors.
Mr. Jechul Yoo expressed his pleasure in undertaking the mission in Cambodia to take part in signing of MOU with the Ministry of Water Resource and Meteorology on the “Master Plan of ICT-based Water Resource Management and Development in Cambodia” under the grant assistance from the Republic of Korea, on April 18th, 2022. Mr. Jechul Yoo further commemorated that Cambodia is a strategic partner and a high priority country in development cooperation and reaffirmed its position to continue to support Cambodia's development through the guidance of Country Partnership Strategy (CPS 2021-2025) and Environmental ODA Cooperation (E-ODA). Mr. Jechul Yoo reaffirmed His Excellency that the cooperation between the two countries will be constantly strengthened and expanded within the prioritised sectors especially environmental sector.
In conclusion, His Excellency Chhieng Yanara reiterated his sincere appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Korea for its continued support to Cambodia and praised the strong bilateral cooperation and relation between the two countries. His Excellency wished Mr.Jechul Yoo success in his mission in Cambodia.
