His excellency Rith Vuthy, Secretary General of Cambodian Development Cooperation Board of the Council for the development of Cambodia (CDCB/CDC), Her Excellency Tan Vouch Cheng, Secretary of State of Ministry of Health (MOH), and Mr. May Tum, Representative a.i of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) jointly conducted a field mission to monitor the progress of the implementation of programmes supporting Health sector in the North-Eastern Regions under the cooperation framework with UNFPA. The mission lasted for 5 days, starting from November 05 until November 09, 2023, in 3 provinces including Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri, and Steung Treng. The main objective of this mission was to deepen the understanding of the progress and challenges of the program implementation under the cooperation framework of UNFPA at sub-national level through face-to-face visits with Health Departments and Health Centers in each target province, which focus on the areas of youth reproductive health, Violence Against Women (VAW)/Gender Based Violence (GBV), teenage pregnancy, family planning, particularly Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (EmONC).
