On Tuesday morning, 25 November 2025, at the National Pediatric Hospital, H.E. Mrs. PHANA Veunida, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Development Cooperation Board of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDCB/CDC), co-presided over the Facility Handover and Opening Ceremony for the new Kitchen, Nutrition Consulting Room, and Indoor Playground. The event was also attended by Ms. CHOI Moon Jung, Country Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Office in Cambodia; H.E. Dr. Heng Suthy, Undersecretary of State for Health; and Dr. Kim Ang, Deputy Director of the National Pediatric Hospital; as well as Korean volunteers and staff from the National Pediatric Hospital, totaling approximately 70 people. 

At the outset, Her Excellency expressed her sincere appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Korea for its continued contribution to strengthening child health and nutrition services at the National Pediatric Hospital through the Korea Volunteer Program in Cambodia. She further emphasized that the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Pentagon Strategy Phase I—under Pentagon Pillar 1 on Human Capital Development—prioritizes the expansion and improvement of health services in order to advance toward universal health coverage and achieve Cambodia’s Vision 2050.
